The Kindfulness Effect starts with you!

Practising Kindfulness helps you live a more conscious life; one of action and response rather than indecision and reaction. You'll be more focused, productive and increase your patience, creativity and emotional intelligence. 

Kindfulness helps you prioritise the importance of your own physical and mental wellbeing, enhancing your sense of balance, calm and resilience, which has a ripple effect on those around you. 

Kindfulness helps you recognise what's important and helps you to live a more purposeful, happy and fulfilled life. You'll become more compassionate towards yourself, others, and the world.

You'll start to see rebuild connections; between your body, mind and breath, between yourself and others and the wider world around you. 

 

This all results in feeling grateful and so the positive cycle continues. 

Hello, I'm Melissa

I'm a passionate advocate of empowering people to lead healthier and happier lives, to raise their consciousness and to see how this not only benefits them, but also the people and the world around them. 
 

Having experienced the transformative effects of mindfulness in my own recovery from PTSD, I was inspired to study for a degree in psychology & philosophy and subsequently set up The Kindfulness Effect. I am now  a fully qualified and accredited mindfulness, meditation, yoga teacher and coach.

Prior to this I spent 15 years working in various management positions in a global company and I'm also a fully qualified English Language Teacher. It was during my time as a teacher that I started sharing my ideas, knowledge and practices with students - this grew organically and so The Kindfulness Effect was born. 
 

Kindfulness isn't what I do - it's also who I am.

Understand the basic physiology of stress and neuroscience associated with mindfulness . Learn how to self-regulate your moods, so that you are better able to pause in challenging situations and manage your responses more effectively.

Recognise the patterns of worry and self-criticism that often generate more stress and learn to relate to yourself in a more accepting and kind manner.

Develop awareness to allow you to have more mindful and meaningful communication, connections and relationships in all areas of your life.
